On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Rajasthan Roadways has issued orders to provide free travel for women in the state on March 8. Under these orders, women passengers will start getting zero amount tickets to travel in buses from 12 o’clock tonight. The benefit of this journey will be available on tickets issued till 11:59 pm on 8th March.
According to the MD of Rajasthan Roadways, “This order has been issued in view of the Chief Minister’s announcement. Under these orders, women will be provided free travel within the Rajasthan border on Rajasthan Roadways on March 8. However, the benefit of free travel will be available only in express and normal buses. Women will not get the benefit of free travel in AC buses or Volvo buses. For this, zero balance ticket generation will start from 12 midnight on 7th March.”
Along with this, on the occasion of Women’s Day, on March 8, entry of women and girls will be free in all government museums and monuments across the state. Guidelines in this direction have been issued by the Department of Archeology and Museums in all monuments and museums. Under which women and girls will be able to get free entry at many government monuments in Jaipur including the Amer fort, Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall, Jantar Mantar, and Nahargarh.
