Rajasthan International Film Festival starts from today

The Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) is going to start from today. 66 films from 8 countries will be screened in Gem Cinema, best films will get awards.

The 10th edition of Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) is going to start from January 27 to January 31. This time the theme of RIFF 2024 has been kept as ‘Youth and Film Heritage’. It will be screened in 4K Classic Edition for the first time in Jaipur for free at ‘The Gem Cinema’.

The schedule of the five-day event was released along with the poster release at Gem Cinema. Riff Founder Somendra Harsh said that the opening film of Riff 2024 will be done with Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman’s superhit film ‘Guide’ released in 1965. With this, for the first time in Jaipur, it will be screened in the 4K Classic version for free at ‘The Gem Cinema’.

66 Films from 8 countries India will be screened

Films from 8 countries India, Australia, America, France, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Venezuela will be screened in RIFF. Which includes screening of feature films, short films, documentaries, animation films as well as music video albums. A total of films from 13 languages ​​have been screened in the festival.

Award ceremony will be held on January 31

Apart from screening of films, open forum workshops and talk shows will also be organized. The program will conclude with an awards ceremony on January 31. In which many awards including Lifetime Achievement Award, Gaurav Award, Best Writer and Theme Award will be distributed for international, Indian and Rajasthani cinema.

Pink City will be lit up with film stars

This year Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) will feature social worker and Indian traditional handicraft artisan Ruma Devi, director and writer in Hindi cinema as well as the best Actor Tinu Anand, Indian actress and producer Iti Acharya, Hindustani singer and contestant of the famous reality show Indian Idol Junior Moti Khan, Gaurav Padma Shri awardee Ustad Anwar Khan Manganiyar, who made folk music known abroad, actor Akhilendra Mishra, TV actor Nandish Singh. Many stars including Sandhu will share their experiences in Riff.

Festival Founder Somendra Harsh, Sudhir Kasliwal (Director of Gem Cinema), Marianne Borgo (French Actress, Advisor Jury Riff 2024), James Higginson (International Filmmaker, Germany), Patrick George (Filmmaker, France) joined at the media briefing of the 5-day event.
