A massive fire erupted early Thursday morning at a rubber warehouse in Jaipur’s Harmada area, causing widespread panic among locals. The blaze, which broke out around 4:00 AM, prompted the immediate deployment of over 40 fire engines to the scene.
The fire was first noticed by Circle Inspector Virendra Kuril, who was patrolling the area at night. Upon receiving the alert, he promptly reached the site with the police team. The warehouse, located on the first floor of a building housing a UCO Bank branch, was engulfed in flames, leading to the evacuation of nearby residents as a precautionary measure.
Visuals from the scene showed huge flames and thick black smoke billowing out of the warehouse, creating a chaotic situation. Firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze, and by late morning, the fire was brought under control. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine the source of the blaze. Authorities have cordoned off the area and diverted traffic to facilitate firefighting operations. Power supply in the vicinity was also switched off to ensure safety.
This incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in commercial establishments, and officials are urging businesses to adhere to safety protocols to prevent such occurrences in the future.
