The Indian Railways is set to introduce two new Vande Bharat Express trains for North Western Railways (NWR), enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time for passengers in Rajasthan. This development is expected to significantly benefit the tourism and business sectors in the region.
The first train will connect Bikaner to Delhi via Churu, Ratangarh, and Loharu. According to the provisional schedule, the train will depart from Bikaner at 5:55 AM and reach Delhi by 12:15 PM. On its return journey, it will leave Delhi at 4:30 PM and arrive in Bikaner at 10:50 PM. This service will cut travel time to just 6 hours and 20 minutes, saving passengers approximately 90 minutes.
The second train will operate between Jaipur and Jodhpur via Ajmer. Authorities are finalizing the route, with options including a direct Jaipur-Jodhpur service or a Jodhpur-New Delhi route via Jaipur. The timetable is being planned to allow passengers to complete a round trip within the same day.
Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NWR, stated, “We are constantly striving to provide better connectivity for passengers. These new Vande Bharat trains will be introduced after the railway ministry’s approval.”
Currently, Vande Bharat trains operate on routes such as Jaipur-Udaipur, Ajmer-Delhi, Bhagat Ki Kothi-Sabarmati, and Udaipur-Agra Cantt. The addition of these two new trains will further improve rail connectivity in Rajasthan, offering faster and more convenient travel options.
This initiative aligns with the Indian Railways’ broader goal of expanding the Vande Bharat network across the country, enhancing travel convenience and boosting regional development.
