JLF will start in Clarks Amer from 1st February for five days

JLF will start from Feb 1, Writers' sessions will be held in 10 Indian languages ​​and 7 international languages, and discussions will be held.


There is a lot of buzz about the Jaipur Literature Festival to be held from 1st to 5th February at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. This festival, called ‘Kumbh of Literature’, is ready to host all the writers, speakers, thinkers and humanists from across the country and the world. Like every year, the program of Jaipur Literature Festival has been designed differently this year too. It will include 10 Indian languages ​​and 7 international languages.

For its 2024 edition, the festival will host over 250 speakers, including Booker, International Booker, Pulitzer, Sahitya Akademi, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Baillie Gifford, DSC Prize, JCB Prize winners. The recently announced program gave information about the various topics covered at the festival. Fiction and Nonfiction, Crime Literature, Literary Criticism, History, Politics and Current Affairs, Poetry, Art and Culture, Translation, Graphic Novel, Gender, Science and Medicine, Food and Memory, Biography and Memoirs, Myth, Spirituality and Religion, Mental Health Topics like fashion and lifestyle, law and justice, geopolitics, sports, climate change, environment and climate, pet parents, pets and animals, cities, literary figures, art and agriculture, Bollywood and cinema, economics will be discussed. 

Namita Gokhale, Co-Director of Jaipur Literature Festival, said that JLF brings the world to Jaipur, and with the same pretext, it also takes Jaipur to the world. Our aim is to present Indian languages ​​and writers on a global platform, which are a reflection of the diversity and richness of Indian literature. Diverse languages ​​ranging from Sanskrit to Awadhi, Oriya, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Rajasthani, Urdu and Punjabi have been included in the festival. We also pay special attention to the oral tradition, where there is an opportunity to express local and Kabyle language and identity. We also bring literature from across borders and boundaries. The atmosphere of the Jaipur Literature Festival truly embodies Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

William Dalrymple, author, historian and festival co-director, said that every year we try to raise the bar of the Jaipur Literature Festival, but 2024 is the best yet.
