Coronavirus has struck once again in Rajasthan. With this the state government has come into alert mode. Officials have swung into action after the new variant emerged in Kerala. Infected patients were also reported in Rajasthan on Wednesday. After this, instructions have been given to send the samples of the patients for genome sequencing.
Two new Corona patients were found in Jaisalmer on Wednesday. Along with this, the history of the patients is also being scrutinized. To deal with the situation of Corona, there will be a mock drill across the state on 26th December.
Regarding this, ACS Shubhra Singh of Rajasthan Health Department held a meeting in the Government Secretariat on Wednesday. A state level committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Medical Education Commissioner Shivprasad Nakate.
No need to panic
According to medical experts, the new sub-variant of Covid, Source CoV-2 JN-1, is not dangerous. About 90% of the patients tested positive for this sub-variant do not need to be admitted to hospital. Its patients are recovering with normal treatment while in isolation at home. There is no need to panic or be afraid of this.
Patients kept in home isolation
There will be a mock drill on December 26 to check the facilities including testing and medicine in the hospitals of the state. In this, facilities like sample tests, medicine, bed and oxygen etc. in government as well as private hospitals will be examined. So that the reality check of preparations on the ground can be revealed. Along with this, ACS has also written a letter to all the collectors and instructed them to issue guidelines as per the advisory issued by the Government of India. In the meeting, Director Public Health Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur also gave information about the two patients found in Jaisalmer and said that the patients have been kept in home isolation.
2 positive out of 470 samples
According to the medical department report on Wednesday evening, 470 patients were tested for COVID-19. Of these, two cases have come to light in Jaisalmer. CMHO of Jaisalmer Health Department said that after receiving information that two youths found Corona positive, we have sent a Rapid Action Team to the spot. Both the youth have been quarantined. Samples of both the patients have been sent to the lab for genome sequence.
CMHO BL Bunkar appealed that Coronavirus infection is spreading once again. In such a situation, common people need to take more precautions. Once again the general public should avoid going to crowded areas.
