Three people, including a woman, died in an accident on Jaipur-Delhi National Highway on Sunday morning. Their car crashed into a truck parked on the roadside killing all three people in the car except the driver. The driver of the car survived due to airbags.
The deceased was a Jaipur based couple identified as Avneesh Singhal (68) and his wife Vimla (65). The third person to die in the accident was a man from Gurgaon named Arvind Pilania (27), a friend of Avneesh’s son. Arvind was a doctor and recently got married. The driver, identified as Gurgaon resident Afiq got seriously injured and is undergoing the treatment.
According to the police, the couple was going to Gurgaon to meet their son Rishi working in Gurgaon. While returning to Jaipur, they went to the bus stand, when Rishi’s friend Dr. Arvind Palsania was passing by in a car on his way to Jaipur and offered the couple to drop them.
Pragpura police say that the incident took place on Sunday afternoon at 12.30 pm at Ahwan near Baghavah Ahiran. The collision was so horrific that the car was completely damaged. It took the police a long time to pull the bodies out of the car. The accident led to a heavy traffic jam on Delhi-Jaipur highway. The news created a rift among the people of that area.
Kotputli police team reached the spot as soon as they got the information. The police have handed over the dead bodies to the family after the post mortem. The reason as to what caused the accident is yet to be determined.
