In a tragic incident early Saturday morning, a Varanasi-Jaipur bus collided with a stationary truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to nineteen others.
The accident occurred around 5:30 AM in the Fatehabad police station area of Agra. According to ACP Fatehabad Amardeep Lal, the bus crashed into the truck from behind. Emergency response teams swiftly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examinations.
Among the deceased, three have been identified: Govind (68) and Ramesh (45) from Rajasthan, and Deepak Verma (40) from Agra. The identity of the fourth victim is yet to be confirmed. Four of the injured are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital, while the remaining victims have been admitted to a government hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and have urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads, especially during early morning hours when visibility can be poor.
