Good news for travelers of the Vande Bharat Express train going across between Udaipur and Jaipur! Indian Railways is expanding the train route to Agra. Also, they are developing high-speed sleeper trains that will be capable of reaching speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, offering faster long-distance travel options.
Starting in September, the Vande Bharat train, now running between Udaipur and Jaipur, will be extended to Agra Fort. The new route will pass through Kota.
At present, the train runs from Udaipur to Jaipur six times a week. However, as per the new changes, the train will reportedly run on the new Agra route three days a week i.e. Monday, Thursday and Saturday, while on the other days, it will operate on the same Udaipur-Jaipur route.
Change in Timings:
The route changes will result in two different Vande Bharat train services, each with its own train number.Currently, the Vande Bharat train operating between Udaipur and Jaipur departs at 7:50 AM and arrives in Jaipur at 2:10 PM.
Beginning September 1st, the Vande Bharat train’s departure time from Udaipur will be adjusted to 5:45 AM, two hours and five minutes earlier than the current schedule. The train will then travel to Agra Fort via Kota, arriving at 2:30 PM. After a brief stop, it will return to Udaipur via Kota, reaching its destination at 11:45 PM.
New Route:
The Vande Bharat train on the Udaipur-Agra route will make several stops, including Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli Junction, and Kota. It will operate at a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, significantly reducing travel time between the three cities.
The Vande Bharat train will continue to serve the Udaipur-Jaipur route, stopping at Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli Junction, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Bijainagar, Ajmer Junction, Kishangarh, and Jaipur.
Fare Price:
Indian Railways is developing a new fare structure for the upcoming Udaipur-Agra Vande Bharat route. Passengers will be able to purchase tickets both online and at physical ticket counters.
Currently, a ticket for the Vande Bharat train from Udaipur to Jaipur costs Rs 1,330 for an AC Chair Car seat and Rs 2,350 for an Executive Chair Car seat.
