The department has issued an alert for the increasing effect of winter after December 5 in parts of North India including Rajasthan.
The reason for the continuous increasing cold is the Western Disturbance of a light effect, which will be active in the next 2 days in Kashmir. Due to this, there will be light snowfall and rain which may increase cold air in parts of North India. The strong cold winds from North India will blow towards the plains, due to which there will be a slight drop in the minimum temperature in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
