Amid growing concerns over the global spread of Mpox (monkeypox), the Central Government has issued an advisory. Following this, the Rajasthan Health Department has also given instructions to take precautions for citizens coming from abroad.
After an emergency, the World Health Organization and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued an advisory to all the states regarding heightened attention at all international airports and land ports, particularly those bordering Bangladesh and Pakistan about incoming international passengers who show monkeypox (mpox) symptoms.
It is an infectious disease. Big pimples like gram appear on the body of a patient infected with this virus. The patient starts having muscle pain along with a high fever. According to doctors, this is a viral infection and spreads rapidly due to contact with each other.
These symptoms are also visible
Initial symptoms in patients suffering from monkeypox are flu-like. These include fever, body ache and body rash, as well as shivering, fatigue and swollen lymph nodes. These symptoms can occur from the 5th day to the 21st day of infection.
Special attention on those coming from African countries
In the advisory, it has been asked to keep a special eye on the people traveling from African countries. If someone comes from traveling abroad and shows symptoms of this type of disease, they should immediately consult a doctor. The administration should be informed. Similarly, if any suspect is found, instructions have been given to collect his samples and send them for testing and to monitor the people who came in contact with him.
