Raffles Hotels & Resorts has opened a new luxurious hotel in Jaipur. The Raffles Jaipur, the brand’s second property in India, offers the brand’s signature excellent service and elegant atmosphere in this exciting city. Located near Jaipur and surrounded by the Aravalli Hills, the hotel has been made up by Randolph Grey Design and P49 Deesign and Associates as a modern-day recreation of a palace.
Raffles Jaipur is a luxurious hotel made entirely of white marble, showcasing the finest craftsmanship of Rajasthan. Skilled artisans have handcrafted every detail of the hotel, combining traditional Mughal and Rajputana architectural styles. The hotel features 50 unique guest rooms and suites, each unique in layout and décor, and an expansive balcony offering an outdoor tub or pool. The rooms are beautifully decorated with intricate details, including painted ceilings, golden murals, furniture made with camel bone, locally sourced artifacts, and carpets woven in Jaipur.
Every corner of Raffles Jaipur invites the guests to connect with the local culture. The hotel’s design features a royal-style Shikar tent and sandstone columns in the hotel’s courtyard representing different periods of Rajasthani history. A grand hall with opulent decorations and patterned marble floors. This spacious grand hall through a hidden mirrored door, leads to a light-filled atrium, inspired by Mughal women’s quarters. The hotel has a signature scent of neroli, orange blossom, and saffron. Guests can enjoy the brand’s famous butler service, which includes personalized experiences and traditional Rajasthani healing rituals like botanical-infused baths, local spice elixirs, and plant-based ointments.
Raffles Jaipur is all set to become a culinary destination, offering a unique dining experience with a modern take on local cuisine. The hotel’s restaurant, Arkaa, will focus on plant-based dishes inspired by the traditional food of Zenana, or women’s quarters of the Mughal court. The menu will feature local ingredients from nearby farms and showcase the flavors of the region.
Raffles Jaipur’s Writers Bar offers unique cocktails made with fresh herbs and spices from the hotel’s garden. One highlight is the Jaipur Sling, a pink-colored drink inspired by the city’s famous pink buildings. This modern take on the classic Singapore Sling uses local ingredients like orange liqueur, royal herbal liqueur, pineapple juice, lime & bitters and Indian dry gin, and captures the flavors of Rajasthan’s royal sherbets.
The hotel offers traditional afternoon tea in the Safir lounge, featuring unique and flavorful treats. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with Italian specialties at the rooftop bar, Sehara, while taking in the beautiful views of the Aravalli Hills.
Raffles Jaipur offers a luxurious 620 square-meter spa featuring treatment rooms, mineral pools, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Guests can relax by the rooftop pool overlooking the city. Continuing in the traditional legacy of the queen’s palace of the Mughal court, the hotel plans to host various events and experiences to indulge guests in local heritage and culture, such as special dining events, workshops with local artisans, and private concerts. Later this year, they will launch an Artisan Trail where guests can meet and learn from local craftspeople.
Raffles Jaipur is a great starting point for exploring Rajasthan. Guests can easily visit Raffles Udaipur, another luxurious Raffles hotel, just an hour away by flight. Having recently opened in 2021, Raffles Udaipur offers wellness and nature programs on its serene lakeside location, while still being close to Udaipur’s main attractions.
