Children’s Film Festival of Jaipur from 28 August

Children's Film Festival will begin from 28 August, Children will watch 55 film stories from 21 countries to make them aware through cinema.

The 7th Aryan International Children’s Film Festival of Jaipur and Sixteen International Film Festivals will begin on August 28. Till August 30, there will be a free screening of films for school children in the auditoriums of 8 schools in Jaipur. 

According to Hanu Rose, Founder Director of the festival, “In these festivals, children will see 55 films from 21 countries selected by the international jury out of 600 films from 50 countries. Its objective is to enhance the multidimensional personality of the child through films.”

Hanu Rose added that during the selection of films, Psychological facts have also been taken care of which we often ignore. Selected films will enlighten the minds of children to develop, increase their curiosity and hunger for knowledge, inspire the habit of asking questions, and will prove helpful in recognizing their potential. 

All films shown are part of the competition at the festival. Awards will be given to the winning films and filmmakers during the opening ceremony on the first day of the festival.

8 schools are the venue partners of the fest, which include Rawat Public School Pratap Nagar, Maheshwari Public School Pratap Nagar, Dolphins High School Pratap Nagar, Maharaja Bhawani Singh School Mahal Yojana, Ryan International School Mansarovar, Subodh Public School Rambagh, Sneh Public School Muhana and Colors International School Narayan Vihar.

Along with this, the school children will watch world cinema from the traveling cinema on Cinema on Wheels. The festivals will also have world premieres along with screening of released films based on various subjects by renowned filmmakers from India and abroad as well as debut directors. 

The documentary Pink Belt (directed by John McCreight) from Oscar-winning filmmakers and the feature film Dal Roti produced by Salim Akhtar will have the first pre-release show. The festival will screen films of all categories, short and long, fiction and nonfiction. 

The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on 28th August at 11 am at Nirmala Auditorium, Jaipur in collaboration with Rawat Public School. In this, filmmakers from many countries like Vietnam, Indonesia, and America are coming to Jaipur to participate.
