Travel Program for Patients with Rare Diseases and Differently Abled

Jaipur, Rajasthan – The Swavlamban Foundation will organize a three-day trip to Jaipur for patients with rare diseases and other differently-abled people from April 5 to 7, 2024. The program aims to promote the message that “life should be big, not long.” and support accessible travel.

Eligibility:

Patients with rare diseases such as muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and myopathy
Other differently-abled people

Program Highlights:

Travel to Jaipur
Accommodation at the Janupayogi Bhavan operated by the Jewelers Association in Jaipur.
Meals provided by the foundation.
Visits to various historical sites, including the Vidhan Sabha, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Birla Planetarium, and others.

Selection Process:

Interested individuals can apply online. Registration
The application form will require a passport-size photo, a copy of the disability certificate, documents related to the disease, and documents about the applicant’s achievements.
Priority will be given to patients who have struggled and achieved success in life.
The selected candidates will be informed by phone after the selection committee’s decision.

Significance:

This is the first time such a travel program is being organized for patients with rare diseases in India.
It provides an opportunity for these individuals to enjoy life and explore new places.
