The city secured 39th position in Swachh Survekshan 2018 and was awarded for ‘fastest mover state capital’ in the country. However, it still remains the cleanest city in the state.
The Swachh Survekshan reports and awards were released at an event in New Delhi on Wednesday by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The award ceremony was conferred by President Ram Nath Kovind. Union Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was also present.
