Jaipur Police has arrested three women including mother and daughter for allegedly blackmailing a businessman on the basis of a bogus rape case. The three women were allegedly blackmailing a Vaishali Nagar-based stock market and solar plant businessman.
The woman is Anuradha (43), her mother Moli (67) and her caretaker Chinki (28), are residents of Greater Kailash Delhi. The city police said that the gang was involved in duping people in Delhi too. They have five cases registered with the Delhi police. The woman was also charge-sheeted for murder in Goa.
Earlier, on July 16, Anuradha had registered an FIR against the victim, Rajendra Vyas, and Anil Ahuja, with Jawahar Nagar police station accusing the businessman of raping her at a hotel situated on JLN Marg. She demanded Rs 15 lakh for changing her statement in the case. The caretaker Chinki used to call up the victims to compromise with the mother-daughter duo, acting herself as a member of human rights commission.
Rajendra had given her 5 lakh cash and deposited 1.47 lakh in a bank account. After they had already taken Rs 6.47 lakh, women were calling them repeatedly for the rest of the money. The victim Rajendra reached police filed a report against the women. They were arrested while they were taking the remaining amount of Rs 8.50 lakh at a hotel on Tonk Road on Sunday.
Additional DCP Lalit Kishore Sharma said that to reach Rajendra, these women started an affair with Anil Ahuja, resident of Delhi. A few days ago, the woman called Rajendra at a hotel in JLN Marg and contacted Rajendra. After this, the case of rape was registered in Jawahar Circle police station.
