Rajasthan’s budget, presented on July 10, was passed in the Assembly today. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced in the Assembly on Monday that now families covered under the Food Security Act will also be given cylinders for Rs 450. 

Giving a big relief to the people waiting for Class IV recruitment, the government will restart this long pending recruitment with new rules. Also, candidates who have scored 40% marks in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) will also be able to appear in the recruitment examinations for government services. In this, SC and ST category candidates will have to score 35% marks. 

Along with this, the salaries, allowances and pensions of MLAs and former MLAs will automatically increase every year. Senior citizens aged between 70 to 75 years will be given 5% more allowance in pension in the state.

CM said, “We are expanding the scope for cylinders, now the families getting ration wheat i.e. the families covered under the National Food Security Act will also get the cylinder for Rs 450. Earlier only Ujjwala Yojana and BPL families used to get cylinders for Rs 450. Now this scheme will be extended to the families taking ration wheat.”

No need to bring a bill to increase the salaries of MLAs

The Chief Minister has announced that the salaries, allowances and pensions of MLAs and former MLAs will automatically increase every year. Now you will not have to bring a bill every time to increase these. Rooftop solar plants will also be installed on the flats built in front of the Assembly for MLAs.

The government will now buy one thousand electric buses instead of 500. In the budget speech, it was announced to purchase 500 buses.
