Change in school timings in Rajasthan to provide relief from heat

The scorching heat is breaking its records in Rajasthan. The temperature in most of the cities of the state has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. After which the Education Department has decided to provide relief to school children to protect them from the intense heatwave.

Education Minister Madan Dilawar tweeted and issued an order to change the timings of schools. He said that keeping in mind the scorching heat, we have decided to change the school timings. For this, the Collector has been given powers at the district level.

Its proper monitoring is also being done by the Education Department. In such a situation, common students do not have to suffer in the increasing heat. This will be our priority, on this basis the education department will take decisions for common students.

In fact, Education Department Director Ashish Modi has issued an order giving all district collectors the right to change holidays and timings in government and private schools. After which, in Kota, Jaisalmer, Bhilwara, and Jhunjhunu districts, school timings have been changed from 7:30 am to 11:00 am. 

At the same time, preparations are going on to change the school timings after the increasing heat in more than half a dozen districts of the state including Jaipur. A decision regarding this can be taken in the next 24 hours.
