The transport department of Rajasthan has issued a new policy for vehicle owners. If you buy a new vehicle after scrapping the old, you will get a 28% discount; its numbers can now be put on the new vehicle. If you scrap the vehicle, you can also sell the certificate.
After giving the junk vehicle for scrap, its numbers can now be put on the new vehicle. These numbers will be available only after the certificate is given by the scrapping company. However, for this the vehicle owner will have to pay some fee in the RTO.
Not only this, the certificate received by the vehicle owner from the scrap company will now also be sellable. This certificate can also be legally sold to any other person. The certificate will have to be sold through the online portal.
Complete details of the online certificate will be available in the portal. The vehicle owner will get a discount of 28% on buying a new vehicle after the scrapped vehicle. After the central government, the transport department has issued such orders.
According to the officials, The vehicle manufacturing company will give a discount of 3% on scrapping a 15-year-old vehicle. There is a discount of 25% on OTT on registration. Given this, there will be a saving of 28 thousand rupees on a vehicle worth one lakh.
Number 0001 worth Rs 2 lakh can be bought for Rs 51 thousand.
The transport department has given permission to two centers for scrapping old vehicles. The first center is in Fagi and the second is on Bagru Road. Both are authorized by the transport department. If you have taken number 0001 for your car for Rs 2 lakh and now you want to use the same number on another car, then first the old car will have to be scrapped and its registration canceled. After this, you will be able to get that number on your new car by paying only Rs 51 thousand to the department.
