Jaipur’s Ramniwas Bagh and Albert Hall will remain closed for two days on 30 September and 1 October due to rats. The number of rats is increasing here and every corner of Ramniwas Bagh is becoming hollow. To deal with this problem, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is going to run a special rat control campaign.

The Jaipur Development Authority has informed the Director of Archaeology and Museum Department regarding the shut down of Ramniwas Bagh to ensure that the tourists visiting Ramniwas Bagh do not face any inconvenience. It has been decided to keep it closed on 30 September and 1 October.

Rats will be eliminated with the help of insecticides

Jaipur Development Authority Secretary Nishant Jain said, “The presence of rats in large numbers in the Ramniwas Bagh area is troubling tourists as well as the general public. Rats made burrows everywhere. Therefore, rats should be eliminated with the help of insecticides and their burrows should be filled.”

Rising Rajasthan’s programs are to be held at Albert Hall.

According to JDA officials, due to feeding of birds and carts, rats have appeared in Ramniwas Bagh, which are causing a lot of damage. In the coming days, many programs of Rising Rajasthan are also to be held at Albert Hall, so action is being taken.

Cultural programs will be held at Albert Hall

In a recent meeting held in the Archaeology and Museum Department, chaired by the Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, it was discussed that cultural programs should be organized every fortnight (every 15 days) on the lines of the grand and successful cultural evening organized at Albert Hall on the occasion of World Tourism Day. She instructed the officials to prepare its outline.

  • Albert Hall is the oldest museum in Rajasthan. It is built outside the Ram Niwas Bagh in front of the New Gate.
  • The museum was opened to the public in 1887. Many old paintings, carpets, ivory, precious stones, metals, statues and many colorful objects can be seen here.
