A Jaipur-bound IndiGo flight (6E 5324) made an emergency landing at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on April 7 following a bomb threat. The flight, carrying 225 passengers, landed safely at 8:50 PM under full emergency conditions.
The bomb threat was discovered in the form of a note found in one of the aircraft’s lavatories, which read, “A bomb is waiting for you, not a joke.” As part of the security protocol, the aircraft was parked at a remote bay, and a thorough search was conducted. Fortunately, no suspicious items were found during the investigation.
Airport operations remained unaffected, and the safety of passengers and staff was prioritized. IndiGo and airport authorities are actively coordinating with security agencies to ensure a comprehensive investigation.
This incident has raised concerns about aviation security and the need for stringent measures to prevent such threats.
