Half-day holiday in Jaipur on Teej

The State Government issued orders for a Half day holiday in Jaipur on Teej on 7 August, government offices will be closed on August 7, after 1.30 pm

On the occasion of Teej, a half-day holiday has been declared in Jaipur city. As per the orders issued by the government, all the state government offices, government undertakings and educational institutions located in Jaipur will remain closed on 7th August after 1.30 pm. 

The General Administration Department has issued orders on the occasion of the Teej festival on 7th August. Apart from government offices, the order also states that a half-day holiday has also been announced in all schools.

The decision has been taken in view of the grand procession and fair taking place on Teej. The Teej Mata procession of Jaipur is famous all over the world. The procession is taken out in the walled area of ​​Jaipur. To see this yr-old tradition, a large number of local people come to Tripolia Gate located within the boundary wall. 

The Teej Mata Sinjara is being celebrated on 6th August and the festival of Teej will be celebrated in Jaipur on 7th August. On Teej, a Teej ride will be taken out from Janani Dyodhi on the 7th and 8th of August with traditional royal attire. 

The ride will leave from Tripolia Gate and reach Talkatora via Tripolia Bazar, Chhoti Chaupar, Gangauri Bazar. 150 artists will perform Rajasthani folk dances during the Teej ride. This time folk dances will start even before the ride at Chhoti Chaupar and Talkatore’s Pal.

Teej ride will be telecast live

For the first time, the Teej ride will be telecast live on the social platform of the Tourism Department so that people sitting at home in the country and abroad will also be able to watch it. They are also preparing to show the rides on LED screens at some places in Jaipur city.
