The pipeline will be laid in Jaipur, Kota, Alwar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bundi, Ajmer and Pali. A 2 thousand km long gas pipeline will be laid in the state. There are 13 organizations working on CGD work in different areas in the state.

Billing will also be easy

There is always a worry of booking a gas cylinder. On top of that there is also a weight concern that what if the delivery man gives gas less than the actual quantity. If the person is alone then it becomes even more of a problem to keep waiting for the delivery man. These problems are not faced in pipe line connections.

Difference between LPG and pipeline (PNG) gas

The difference between the gas available in the pipeline that comes to the houses, PNG and the cylinder gas LPG.

LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) – It is filled in the cylinder in the form of water. This gas is heavy. Its cost is higher than PNG and CNG and it requires a cylinder.

Piped Natural Gas (PNG) – It is 30 percent cheaper than LPG. No cylinder is required. It mainly contains methane gas.

  • PNG is easy to use.
  • Gas supply is available 24 hours.
  • There is post paid billing, that is, no advance for gas is to be paid. Billing is done once in two months.
  • PNG gas is eco-friendly. This greatly reduces the emission of environmentally harmful gasses like carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2).

Connections be released on this basis

  • While laying the pipeline, the survey team will reach the houses. People will get the consent form filled out.
  • Connections will be released on this basis.
  • The registration forms will be filled through the firm or nodal agency in that city.
  • This information will be given publicly.

According to Rajasthan State Gas Limited (RSGL), propane gas is used in LPG, which being heavier than air, accumulates at the bottom and spreads. In case of fire it is terrible. Whereas PNG is used in the pipeline. It contains methane which is lighter than air. In case of leakage, it flies up. The risk of an accident is less.
