There will be no negative marking in the Common Eligibility Test (CET) graduation level to be held in Rajasthan. The revised notification of the eligibility test will be issued soon by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board.
According to the Chairman of Staff Selection Board, “The Board had kept the provision of negative marking in CET graduation level. After negative feedback from students, the board has now decided to change the process. In such a situation, students will now be able to participate in CET without negative marking.”
There was a provision to deduct one-third marks for wrong answers.
On August 6, the release of CET was issued by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. There was a provision to deduct one-third marks for wrong answers. A large number of students had started protesting against this provision. After the intervention of the government, the Staff Selection Commission has decided to eliminate negative marking and conduct CET under the normal procedure.
On the basis of CET Graduation score in Rajasthan, candidates will be able to participate in 11 future recruitments. This time it has been made mandatory for the candidates to score minimum 40% marks in CET. If they score less than this, they will be declared ineligible. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be given five percent relaxation in minimum marks.
CET Graduation Level will be conducted from 25th to 28th September. To appear in the examination, candidates can apply by visiting the official website of the Staff Selection Board from 9th August to 7th September.
Score will remain valid for one year
The marks obtained in CET will be made public. At the time of recruitment for a particular post, applications will be invited on the basis of marks obtained in this examination.
There will be no limit of any kind for appearing in this examination. You can give this exam as many times as you want.
The same reservation rules already prevailing in the state regarding age and other criteria for CET will be applicable.
This score will be valid for one year. In such a situation, after giving the exam once, the candidate can apply for the job on the basis of the same marks for one year.
Any candidate can give CET again and again for improving marks or can apply in a year on the basis of his/her maximum marks.
Registration for the exam will have to be done only once. This will solve other problems including paying fees repeatedly.
