Mayor of JMC Greater declares a holiday on the day of Ram temple inauguration to celebrate the day in a special manner, Meat shop closed.

There will be a holiday in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater on the day of Ram temple inauguration to be held on January 22 in Ayodhya. Meat shops in the JMC-Greater area will also be closed. 

On this day, officers and employees will be engaged in decoration and celebrating the festival of lights in the entire city. Efforts are being made to celebrate the day in a special manner in Jaipur by lighting five lakh diyas. Rangolis will be made at every intersection and competitions will be organized. 

According to Mayor Somya Gurjar, “January 22 is a very special day but not everyone can go to Ayodhya and efforts are being made to celebrate it in a special manner in Jaipur. Everyone should contribute towards lighting five lakh diyas on that day. A holiday will be held on January 22 in JMC-Greater so that all the officers and employees can prepare for the Ramotsav campaign and celebrate it like Deepotsav.”

Mayor of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, Soumya Gurjar, announced this after a meeting with the officials of the trade board. The mayor also said that rangolis will be made at every intersection and competitions will also be organized on January 22.

On January 22, programs will be organized by trade chambers at their respective levels. Rangoli will also be made at every intersection. The corporation will light 5 lakh lamps in the city. At the same time, trade associations of all the markets will celebrate Ramotsav in their respective markets. The markets will be decorated like Diwali. The trade circle and market whose decoration is best will also be given a prize.

Meat shops will remain closed

On this occasion, the Mayor said that on the lines of heritage, meat shops in the Greater area have also been announced to remain closed on January 22. The Mayor said that all the trade bodies should also cooperate in this and illuminate the city of Jaipur by lighting as many temporary lights as possible on that day.
