Rajasthan’s tourism will now be linked to hospitals. An action plan has been prepared to make Rajasthan a medical and wellness tourism state. The government is soon going to bring a policy regarding this, which has been named ‘Heal in Rajasthan’ policy.
Under this policy, people living in Rajasthan and those coming from outside will get cheap treatment. For this, there will be a separate hospital and management team.
For this, the state’s health department has established a Medical Value Travel (MVT) committee to promote medical tourism, comprising representatives from various government departments, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bureau of Investment Promotion, and departments of tourism, urban development.

Special care has been taken of the people coming here from abroad for treatment. For this, separate hospitals will be selected and all kinds of food will be available in them, from non-veg to veg. Not only this, there will be a worship center in every hospital according to religion.
This policy has been prepared by the government. It is being told that soon it will be placed in the cabinet. After this, work will be started on it.
Here, the government has also prepared a plan for the coming three years. To strengthen the infrastructure and facilities in the hospitals of Rajasthan, a budget of Rs 15000 crore has been set under the mission Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Health Infrastructure.
In this, work will be done to upgrade the facilities of super specialty nursery care and hospitals across the state in the coming 3 years. This also includes the AYUSH facility.

Under the Heal in Policy, facilities of national and international standards will be provided to foreigners coming for medical tourism. In this, the first focus will be on developing medical infrastructure.
Work will be done to develop Rajasthan as a medical and wellness tourism hub. The hospitals that will be selected for medical tourism will have better facilities.
The government and medical sector will work together for wellness and medical tourism. Under this, world class facilities will be provided in selected hospitals. Along with cheap treatment, work will be done on their facilities so that the patients coming here can get better treatment.
Facilities and food will be available according to every religion
Along with cheap treatment, patients will get facilities according to every religion. In this, food and especially their religious beliefs will be taken care of. Therefore, along with veg-non veg, vegan food will also be provided in the food.
Apart from this, the hospitals selected for medical tourism will have separate worship rooms or centers for each religion along with temples, mosques and churches.
The reason behind this is that a large number of people from the Middle East come to India for medical wellness tourism. In such a situation, their religious beliefs should also be taken special care of.
There will be branding abroad, training for employees and a digital portal
The purpose of bringing this project is that people coming from abroad should come to Rajasthan for treatment. For this, the government has prepared a brief plan in the action plan from its branding to the facilities available to the patients.
Branding: The government will brand the facilities available in Rajasthan under medical tourism in every country. Under this, branding will first be done in developed countries, from where most tourists come to Rajasthan for medical and wellness tourism and their chances are also high. For this, the government will send its representatives to national and international medical tourism fairs, conferences and seminars held in every country.
Digital Infrastructure: A separate website and dedicated digital portal will be created for Heal in Rajasthan. Under the digital infrastructure, facilities like upgraded billing system, cashless payment support with international transaction support, reimbursement support and forex payment will also be provided.
Training: Separate training will be taken for medical tourism wing in hospitals. For this, facility will be provided to hire specially trained staff on contract basis. Their training model will be based on cultural sensitization and such employees will be taken who can work in multicultural and global environment.

This institute will also work for international business coordination.
A separate institution will be formed for medical tourism
The government will also create a separate institution for medical tourism, which will monitor its operations and quality standards. The institution will help in coordinating with other countries, co-ordination with private and government hospitals, bringing together medical experts and setting up medical value tourism facilities. The countries from which more tourists can come under Medical Value Tourism (MVT) will be focused on first.
Hospitals will be regularly audited and certified
The hospitals selected for MVT will be certified by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) so that patients can trust the world class facilities. The hospitals included in this project will be regularly audited so that they can maintain world class facilities.
This cell will also run regular training manuals. It will also coordinate with the Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) to provide medical visa and complete other paper formalities to tourists coming to Rajasthan for medical tourism from outside.
This body will also monitor the patient experience. Based on the experience, suggestions and problems of any tourist who comes here for medical tourism and wellness tourism, this body will give suggestions to improve them and will also get those suggestions implemented.
Affordable care packages for medical and wellness tourism
Affordable care packages will be made for medical and wellness tourism. In collaboration with international insurance agencies, a cheap treatment package will be made. Affordable care packages will be developed by working in collaboration and partnership with national and international insurance agencies.

A policy is being brought to make Rajasthan a hub of medical tourism by developing affordable health care facilities. This policy has been prepared as per the guidelines of Heal in India of the Union Health Ministry.

Spinal Engineering Centre in the state’s medical colleges, 1700 hospitals for free treatment
Many works are already underway in Rajasthan to promote medical tourism. A 1200-bed IPD Ayushman Tower is being developed at SMS Hospital.
Along with this, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) has been developed as a super specialty facility. Spinal injury centers have been established in Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Kota Medical Colleges.
Center of Excellence for Medical Genetics will be built in JK Lon Hospital, Jaipur for the treatment of rare diseases.
1700 hospitals listed for free treatment under Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana
1700 hospitals are listed under the Chief Minister’s Ayushman Arogya Yojana. 50 percent of these are private hospitals. Currently, treatment facilities up to Rs 25 lakh is being provided every year under this scheme.
There are 90 Ayurvedic Hospitals, 83 Block Ayush Hospitals and 33 Yoga and Naturopathy Treatment Research Centres in Rajasthan.
Apart from this, OPD and IPD facilities are available in National Institute of Ayurveda in Jaipur, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ayurved University Jodhpur and Madan Mohan Malaviya Government Ayurveda College and Hospital Udaipur.
