Direct flights will operate from Jaipur International Airport to 6 cities of the country from next month. Apart from 6 domestic flights, a new international flight will also be added to the schedule.
According to airport officials, new flights connecting Jaipur to Bareilly, Belgaum, Pant Nagar, Nagpur, Ranchi and Patna are likely to start in the coming summer season. Apart from this, a new international flight can also start for Kuala Lumpur. Indigo, Star Air and Air Asia have proposed to operate these flights.
The complete details of these flights from Jaipur airport will be released in the schedule of summer season to be released at the end of this month. Date of the beginning of these flights and their timing have not yet been released.
Movement of flights will increase due to the reduction of ATF
The state government has announced in its budget to reduce VAT on air fuel from 26% to 2% in the coming time. With this announcement, the movement of flights to other cities including Jaipur will increase.
Because air fuel will be cheaper after VAT reduction. For this reason, many airlines companies can route their flights through Jaipur, Jodhpur or Udaipur.
62 flights are operated
At present, around 62 flights are operating daily from Jaipur airport. This includes flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and many other cities including Indore and Amritsar. Apart from this, international flights are also operating from Jaipur to Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
