Children with high fever and dengue symptoms

According to Dr. Deependra Garg, Pediatrician and Senior Professor, Jaipuria Hospital, “These days children with high fever and dengue symptoms are coming to OPD. 15% of them have to be admitted. The reason behind this is the carelessness of the family members. Often the family members are coming two days or even later after fever, stomach ache or vomiting. After this, platelets in many children are falling to 20 thousand or even below. However, such children are being cured after admission without administering SDP. If the family members come on time, there will be no need to admit the children. Children can be cured with medicines only.”
