People will now be able to get their photo clicked with the wax statue of cricketer Virat Kohli at Jaipur Wax Museum located in Nahargarh. This statue is going to be installed on the occasion of World Heritage Day on 18th April. The museum administration released the first look of this wax statue on Friday.

According to the Founder Director of Jaipur Wax Museum, Anup Srivastava, “For the last one year there was a demand from tourists to make the statue of Virat Kohli. Small children and youth are especially crazy about Virat. So in my opinion the statue of King Kohli should definitely be in the museum.”

“Now that Virat has also become a sports icon for children and youth, what could be a better occasion than now to display his statue and honor him. Kohli has reached the highest level in world cricket. Given this, we decided that after Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the wax statue of Virat Kohli should be installed in the Jaipur Wax Museum, he added.”

Posed as an aggressive cricketer

The museum administration released the first look of this wax statue on Friday. Virat’s image has been that of an aggressive cricketer in the field. Therefore, his aggressive expression was also chosen for the pose of the statue. The wax figure was created by the duo of Ganesh and Lakshmi under the creative direction of Anoop Srivastava in about two months. The weight of Virat’s wax effigy is 35 kg, while the height is 5 feet 9 inches. Virat’s clothes are made by Bollywood designer Bodh Singh.

As per Anup, “We have always had a clear decision regarding statue selection that more than celebrities, great people should be given a place in the museum, who can inspire our future generations. A total of 44 wax statues have been installed in the museum so far.”

The museum is built in 300 years old fort

Jaipur Wax Museum is the first such museum, which is built in an almost 300 year old fort. Also, it is different from other museums of the world because every effigy here has been installed with a specially made set. Behind each effigy, there is a museum with hand-made paintings, special objects associated with the effigy, an exclusive photo wall, and a special fragrance.
