Surgeries and treatments are bound to be delayed due to the ‘strike’ by resident doctors since Monday night.
Patients at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur have been stranded due to the ongoing strike of resident doctors. They are protesting against the lack of security arrangements for doctors in the hospitals after a woman resident doctor was allegedly beaten up by the relatives of a patient at Kanwantia hospital in Jaipur on Monday night.
The incident raised a question mark on the lack of security for resident doctors and they are demanding proper security measures for the doctors and police action against the manhandling with the woman resident doctor. The hospital and medical college authorities are trying to convince the doctors against the strike and asking them to resume work.
