The Rajasthan government has announced a Common Eligibility Test (CET), to centralise the recruitment procedure for all government jobs. The Common Eligibility Test will be conducted by the state as per the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) mandates.
Under this, applicants for government posts like Village Development Officer, Patwari (Village Accountant), Ministerial Staff and more will now be shortlisted by the Common Eligibility Test (CET). The CET will be performed by the state as per the directions of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
One exam will be the path to many opportunities
The Rajasthan Cabinet has taken this step to standardise the recruitment process of all government jobs. Now, only a Common Eligibility Test will be conducted which will govern all applications for vacancies in the public profession.
In addition to this, the requirement of interviews for varied posts will be discontinued and the idea of direct recruitment examinations will be attained.
For this, the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services (Direct Recruitment by Combined Competitive Examination) Rules, 1999, and other service rules will be amended to discontinue the interview inspection. Regardless, they will remain important in RAS examinations.
