Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot who was suffering from post-Covid complications had developed chest pain and was advised for angioplasty. Today he got angioplasty done in SMS Hospital and got treated for blockage in the artery. He is kept under observation for 24 hours.
According to SMS Medical College Principal Dr Sudhir Bhandari, “Angioplasty of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been successfully done at SMS Hospital. His health is improving now. He will be kept under observation for 24 hours and has been advised to stay in the hospital for 2 to 3 days.”
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot developed chest pain at night and his health suddenly deteriorated on Friday morning. Due to severe chest pain and difficulty in breathing, he was immediately taken to SMS Hospital. The Chief Minister underwent a medical checkup followed by an Angioplasty. On investigation, it was revealed that there is 90% blockage in one of his arteries. He was admitted to the critical care unit of SMS and doctors repaired the blockage by doing angioplasty.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot a speedy recovery.
The principal of the SMS hospital, Dr Sudhir Bhandari, superintendent Dr Rajesh Sharma, along with other specialists including cardiologists, handled the case.
Delhi tour and appointed meeting with Sonia Gandhi postponed
Chief Minister Gehlot had a plan to visit Delhi on Thursday night. For this, the charter plane was also asked to be kept on standby. Following chest pain, he cancelled the program to go to Delhi. He was scheduled to discuss with the party high command on cabinet reshuffle and political appointments.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tested Corona positive in April. Following the Covid-19 protocol, he continued working in isolation.
