Amidst the danger of Corona, Board examinations for 10th and 12th classes will begin in Rajasthan from March 3. Students of class 12th will be called to give practicals from January 17.
Although the schools have been closed because of the threat of corona in the state, board exams and practicals will be held on time. The Education Minister announced to conduct the board examinations on time after a meeting with the High Power Committee regarding board examinations.
According to Education Minister BD Kalla, “The board examinations will be held from March 3 with the compliance of Covid guidelines. More than 20 lakh students will appear for the board exams at 6074 centres. Practical exam of class 12th will also start from January 17.”
“Students will be seated at all examination centers keeping in mind the Covid appropriate behaviour following social distancing. Masks and sanitizers will also be arranged. The examinations will be held on time only,” he added.
Only local teachers will take practical
The practical exams of class 12 will be held at the scheduled time from January 17. Only local teachers will be appointed for practicals. Till now in board examinations, teachers from outside were appointed for practical examinations. The practicals will be held from January 17 to February 5.
Examination centers will be monitored
A total of 2874 home guards and about 830 police teams will be appointed for the board examinations. The examinations will be monitored by CCTV at 300 centres. Around 300 centers including 60 answer-key collection centres, distribution centers and all sensitive/hypersensitive examination centers will be monitored with CCTV.
Schools closed till 30 but practicals will be held
The state government has decided to close the schools till January 30 by issuing a new guideline. The Education Minister has announced to conduct practical exams from January 17. So, despite the closure of the school, the students will be called for the practical exam.
