Two men arrested at Jaipur airport with foreign currency worth Rs 48 lakh

On Wednesday, the customs department has seized foreign exchange worth $ 48 million at Jaipur Airport.

Two passengers got arrested in an attempt to smuggle the currency into Bangkok via Thai Smile flight at Jaipur international airport.

According to the information received, The duo was illegally carrying two foreign currency suit to Bangkok. The money got detected in a custom scan performed at Jaipur airport. The custom department team also caught 350 grams of gold, which was being brought from Dubai to Jaipur. The gold was being brought in the handle of the bag of towel bags.  

Further investigation is going on. Both the men have been taken into the police custody and will be produced in the court, said officers. This case was under control of custom commissioner Kuldeep Singh.
