City Park Mansarovar Jaipur: Bigger than Central Park

Jaipur city is soon to gift a new destination for its joggers and greenery lovers. The Rajasthan government is going to develop a City Park in Mansarovar, Jaipur. This park will be bigger than the largest central park in the capital.

It will not only be the largest park in Jaipur, but also the largest in the state among the population. The government will develop City Park in Mansarovar to keep the city’s climate clear. There are plans to increase greenery to provide morning walking, exercise and pure air to millions of people. The officials said that the park is going to open for the public within the next two years.

According to a senior Rajasthan Housing Development official, “Nearly 2.5 lakh people living in Mansarovar and other nearby colonies will have easy access to the park. This will be a great addition to the area. We hope that it will become a favorite destination for people who love greenery and want to lead an active life.”

Features of City Park Mansarovar, Jaipur

The City park in Mansarovar, Jaipur will feature nearly 10,000 plants and trees. The Central Park jogging track is nearly 4-km long. It will be nearly 3 km and the internal walkway will be about 1.5 km. The park will have CCTVs for monitoring and security at all the entrance and exit gates as well as the jogging tracks,” added the officer.

The Rajasthan Housing Board will develop the City Park. The development will take place on the land between VT Road and Arawali Marg. The City Park will spread over an area of 52.42 acres of land under the Rajasthan Housing Board Mansarovar Scheme. The park will be about 10 acres larger in area than the Central Park.

UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal had approved the development of the park on Friday. He declared this after Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave his assent on the City Park Development Scheme. “The project has got a nod from the chief minister. We will take the help of the local people and organizations in achieving our target of planting 10,000 trees before this monsoon season,” said the officer.

According to UDH Minister, Shanti Dhariwal “The park is necessary for 10% greenery in Mansarovar. City Park will feature greenery with 10,000 trees and rose garden, open-air theater, CCTVs, outdoor gym, butterfly garden, haat bazar, carnival house, a national flag post, ring fountain, musical fountain, lake, 3 km jogging track and 1.50 km internal walkway.

The Golden Jubilee Year of the Housing Board is coming soon. The city park will be built bigger than Hyde Park in London and Central Park in New York. The target is to make it in 18 months, said Pavan Arora, Commissioner of Housing Board.
