Children below 5 years will get different vaccines in Jaipur

Children in Jaipur will get different necessary vaccinations from 11 to 16 September, Vaccines will be given to children up to 5 years to protect from diseases.

Children below 5 years of age who have not received the necessary vaccines will get vaccinations for different diseases in Jaipur. This campaign will run from 11 to 16 September. 

The second phase of Mission Indradhanush will be started for vaccination against different types of diseases. In this, vaccines will be given to children as well as pregnant women in all the PHC-CHC of the district.

According to the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Jaipur, Dr. Vijay Singh Faujdar, “A head count survey of children and pregnant women is being conducted for vaccination in the campaign. To identify them, teams are going door-to-door and doing survey work in slums.”

“The data of children and pregnant women to be vaccinated under the campaign will be updated in UWin software. Just as certificates were issued after registering on the Covin app, in the same way the database of children is being prepared. Records are being maintained as to how many children have been vaccinated. After vaccination, the child’s registration certificate will also be issued,” he added. 

These vaccines will be administered under this campaign

  • BCG for children up to 1 year
  • Hepatitis-B to children within 24 hours of birth
  • Pentavalent for children from 6 to 14 weeks
  • Polio from birth to 14 weeks and children aged 6 to 14 weeks
  • RotaVirus Vaccine for children aged 6 to 14 weeks
  • PCV for children of 6 to 14 weeks
  • Measles Rubella for children of 9 to 16 months
  • FIPV for 6 to 14 weeks and 9 months old baby
  • D.P.T. Booster for children between 16 months and 5 years

The state government has launched this campaign in three phases. Its first phase ran from 8 to 12 August. After this, the second phase will be held from 11 to 16 September and the third phase from 9 to 14 October.
