Jaipur | July 21, 2025 — In a major move to encourage safe and convenient travel for women during the upcoming Teej festival, the Rajasthan government has approved free bus rides for women across the state on August 5, 2025.
The initiative, led by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC), will roll out over 200 additional buses in Jaipur alone, especially along major festival routes and congested zones.

Available On: All intracity and selected intercity RSRTC buses

Women can avail the service by simply boarding the bus — no ticket or pass is required. A valid ID is recommended for verification if asked.

To manage the festive rush, RSRTC and Jaipur Traffic Police have jointly prepared:
- GPS tracking on all Teej buses
- Female constables on board for assistance
- Dedicated help desks at Sindhi Camp, Ajmeri Gate, and Badi Chaupar
- Realtime crowd monitoring via Jaipur Smart City command center

“This initiative not only ensures easy access to Teej festivities for women but also encourages safe and crowdfree transport. We’ve deployed additional staff and control rooms to monitor movement throughout the day.”
