Water supply will hit around 25% of areas in Jaipur on Monday and Tuesday. The supply will be stopped from Monday morning and will start again from 29th September. Maintenance work will be done on the storage and pump house.
There will be a water crisis in a large part of Jaipur city from Monday morning due to repair and maintenance work at Amanishah headworks and pump house in Jaipur city. However, the Public health and engineering department (PHED) is claiming to supply water from tankers for two days.
The supply cut from 10 am on Monday to 4 pm on Tuesday will impact supply in many areas including Vidyadhar Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Harmada, Murlipura, Vishwakarma, Bani Park and Ambabari falling in Division 3 and 4. Apart from this, there will be no water supply in some areas adjoining Jhotwara, Niwaru Road.
According to PHED officials, More than 5 lakh people will be affected by the water crisis. Given the scarcity of water in these areas, the water supply department will supply water through tankers to minimize the water crisis. However, it would not be easy to supply water to such a large population by tanker.
