The Archaeology Survey of India (ASI) has organized free tourist entry for forts, monuments or historical heritage sites under its control across the country. People will not have to buy tickets to visit such heritage sites from August 5 to 15.
The Central Government has issued these orders under the Amrit Festival of Independence being celebrated in the country.
Under this order, many historical places including Jodhpur’s Mandore Fort, Chittorgarh Fort, Kumbhalgarh Fort, and Jaisalmer Fort, are included. There are many places in the capital Jaipur including Jantar Mantar where tickets will not have to be paid for.
In fact, on the completion of 75 years of the country’s independence, the central government is celebrating the festival of independence all over the country. Under this, the government has taken this decision intending to promote tourism.
