The government is making continuous efforts to maintain year-round tourism in Rajasthan. The state government recognized tourism as an industry and provided benefits to hoteliers such as eased land conversion, UD tax, and electricity rates. However, affordable tourism options for tourists in the state remain a challenge.

Tourists are not benefited even after government schemes

Hundreds of thousands of tourists visit Rajasthan to experience its palaces, forts, artistic culture, and historical estates. Tourism significantly contributes to the economic aspect of Rajasthan. But, the government initiatives are not yielding advantages for tourists as intended.

As per a tourist guide, “The tourists coming to Rajasthan still look for budget-friendly tourism. Tourists want to get hotel and food facilities at minimum rates, but due to not getting all these facilities, the tourists are facing difficulties and feel cheated.”

Conversely, the state government aims to boost tourism by offering incentives to hoteliers, including lowered UD taxes, reduced electricity rates, and waived land conversion fees. The goal is to provide cost-effective options for incoming tourists, but these advantages are not reaching the tourists as anticipated.

RTDC Hotels increased facilities

As per the President of RTDC, tourists are encouraged to consider RTDC hotels for cost-effective vacation packages. These hotels offer delectable cuisine, and to enhance tourist comfort, RTDC has refurbished all hotels and upgraded facilities to a level comparable to 5-star accommodations. This ensures that visitors to the state can relish budget-friendly tourism while also experiencing Rajasthan’s art and cultural essence in RTDC hotels.
