Jaipur International Airport is witnessing an increase in the number of passengers traveling through it. Now airline companies like Indigo and Spicejet have shown interest in starting new flights from Jaipur Airport to seven new cities. Flights to Agra Khajuraho Varanasi Bagdogra Jaisalmer Bhopal and Patna will start.

As per an official, airlines have shown interest in opening new routes to seven destinations during the winter schedule. Direct flights to seven new domestic destinations are likely to start from the Jaipur International Airport in the winter schedule.

The traffic by passengers is continuously increasing and is expected to increase further during the winter season being the peak tourist season in Rajasthan.

Flights will be available for many places

New routes like Agra, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Jaisalmer, Bagdogra are good tourist places. Having direct connectivity to these places will further boost the local tourism sector.

Direct connectivity to Bhopal and Patna was earlier announced in the summer schedule, but Indigo Airlines could not operate it due to some technical problem. The airline has now decided to open two routes in the winter schedule. There are direct flights to Jaisalmer every year from winter to early summer which increases the tourism here.

Passenger boost at Jaipur International Airport

Jaipur International Airport has recorded a surge of passenger footfall from April to July this year, as compared to last year. This notable surge in footfall owes its origin to vacation-break, increased leisure travelers and improved connectivity.

Jaipur airport has direct connectivity to 23 cities and connecting flights to other destinations. The surge is a welcome sign and if everything goes well, the industry will bloom again after a few years of Covid pandemic.
