Good news for tourists visiting Rajasthan! Soon entry to tourist places will be available without tickets! The state government is soon going to bring a Rajasthan Single Smart Card facility which will not only make travel easy but will also save their expenses.
Under the Smart Card facility, tourists will be able to access multiple monuments and transport facilities through a single swipe of smart card. Tourists will get access to many monuments and transport facilities through this single smart card which needs to be recharged. This will also eliminate the need to stand in queue for tickets and save time and resources.
Access to multiple monuments with a single smart card
Under the plan to make multiple monuments accessible with a single smart card, the Information Technology Department will develop a portal making the Tourism Department the nodal agency and the Transport Department also a part of it. With this, the tourists would get access to several monuments through a single smart card, which would have to be recharged.
Tourist will be able to visit monuments without ticket
The government will develop a portal to provide this facility. Tourists will have the facility to visit the monuments without buying tickets at each monument. Only one card will be valid at government protected monuments in the state. This card will also work in roadways buses.
As per the officials, In the initial phase only super luxury buses would be inducted into the service for inter-state travel.
Will also get rid of the crowd. The validity of the smart card would be fixed in such a way that it would also help in crowd management at the monuments. Based on the response of the system, the service will be expanded and private museums or monuments will also be covered under it.
No more standing in queues
According to a tourist guide, buying tickets has become a time-consuming process for tourists, especially during the peak season and if this system is introduced, it will bring a lot of ease to the passengers.
