Shooters who killed Gogamedi arrested, were planning to flee to Nepal

The two shooters who killed Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi have been caught by the police from Chandigarh late on Saturday night. Rajasthan Police achieved this success in a joint operation with the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. 

Police have taken shooter Nitin Fauji to Jaipur. He has been kept in Sodala police station. The police took the second shooter Rohit Rathore from Delhi in the morning. Both were planning to escape to Nepal.

According to the ADG Crime Dinesh MN, “After killing Gogamedi, both the criminals had reached Bagru Toll with Ramveer. From where Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathod reached Didwana by bus. Both of them took a taxi from Didwana and reached Sujangarh. They left from Sujangarh in a Delhi bus, but both got off the bus at Dharuhera itself. Police were following behind, when the police asked the bus driver about these two, he told them that both of them had got down at Dharuhera. After which the police searched the buses and trains going to Haryana.”

Police found the location of both the miscreants at Hisar Railway Station. When CCTV footage was received there, teams were sent to Hisar in search of the two, but these miscreants left for Manali. After finding their location in Manali, the teams left and from there they reached Chandigarh and stayed in a hotel here. Delhi Police got concrete information about his presence in Chandigarh at 2 pm on Saturday afternoon. Delhi Police’s ADG Crime Ravindra Singh contacted Rajasthan Police.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph and ADG Crime sent 7 officers and policemen of their team in this operation. The police feared that both the miscreants might have weapons. If the police raided in the afternoon or evening and both the miscreants started firing, then many people may lose their lives. The police waited until midnight, so that no one would be harmed and the police could catch the shooter before he could plan to do anything. Police caught both the shooters and their accomplice Udham Singh. Udham Singh had helped them in escaping. Delhi Police interrogated both the shooters related to Rohit Godara and Lawrence. Rajasthan Police had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh each on the arrest of the killers.

Told the acquaintance – Will leave after a few days. 

After reaching Chandigarh, the accused had informed the acquaintance about the incident. He was assured that as soon as the police security was reduced, they would leave from here. Both the shooters had planned to leave the country and flee to Nepal, but they were caught before that. 

Location was available by talking on mobile. 

The shooters had hidden the weapons after committing the murder, so that they could not be caught while checking in the train or bus while running away. But, the accused shooters were using mobile phones while escaping. The shooters were in touch with gangster Rohit Godara’s right-hand men Virendra and Danaram. The murder was carried out on the instructions of Virendra and Danaram. After committing the murder, both the shooters were continuously talking to Virendra and Danaram. After which the police started their technical surveillance. After this, he was caught as soon as he reached Chandigarh.

Stayed in the hotel after changing the name 

They were hiding in a guest house named Hotel Kamal Resort in Sector 24, Chandigarh. All three accused were hiding in this guest house by changing their names. They kept their names as Davinder Kumar, Jaiveer Singh and Sukhbir Singh. For this he had given fake Aadhaar cards

The Karni Sena president was shot after entering his house. On December 5, at around 1:03 pm, two miscreants opened fire on Gogamedi and then ran away. Gogamedi was taken to Metro Mass Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
