Rajasthan to get 5G

Rajasthan to get 5G in 5 cities by Airtel and Reliance Jio

Reliance Jio and Airtel have started preparations to start a 5G facility in 5 cities of Rajasthan: Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur and Nathdwara.

The first 5G commercial launch will be done in five cities of the state. It includes Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur and Nathdwara. Among these, Reliance Jio is preparing for Jaipur, Jodhpur, Nathdwara, while Airtel is focusing on Kota and Udaipur besides Jaipur.

Mobile operators are busy preparing for the launch. Reliance Jio had a symbolic launch in Nathdwara recently. Reliance Jio will focus on Jaipur, Jodhpur, Nathdwara and Airtel will focus on Jaipur, Kota and Udaipur. One will start in December and the other will start in January. After the launch in these cities, there are plans for cities including Pali, Alwar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Kota, Ajmer.

The Ministry of Telecom and the Government of Rajasthan are working together to equip Rajasthan with 5G mobile technology. The Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had instructed the Department of Telecom and Telecom operators to work fast.

Work will be done to bring latency to 1 millisecond

Work is being done mainly to reduce the latency (time taken to move mobile data from one place to another). For this, the focus is on connecting every mobile tower with fiber. After this the latency will decrease from 10 milliseconds to 1 milliseconds, i.e. the internet speed will be so fast that there will be no gap in the live broadcast reaching the mobile or TV. Everything will be real time.

The 5G network will be a fusion of the fastest data network with the Internet of Things (IoT). So far we are connected to each other through Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, but through IoT we will also be connected to other things used in normal everyday life like TV, Fridge, AC, Light, Fan, Computer, Car, which will share data with each other. These are all devices, which communicate with each other by staying connected to the Internet.

For instance, you have a car and it is connected to the internet. If any part of the car malfunctions, the car will automatically send the care data to the manufacturer.

  1. Reliance Jio

Spectrum is on 700 MHz

Small Cell (Signal Booster) are being installed in addition to upgrading the existing tower. These small cell building walls and street furniture (street lights, electric poles, bus shelters and others) are being installed.

  1. Airtel

Spectrum at 3400/3500 MHz

There are more than 10 thousand towers and only the existing tower is being upgraded. No need to install a separate tower.

These are the special features

Internet speed will be 20 to 100 times faster (up to 1000 Mbps).

All smart devices in the house will be able to be controlled from outside by connecting them to the phone.

Internet speed will not decrease even if many users are connected at the same time.

The operation of robots, drones and automatic vehicles will be easy with high speed internet.
