Tourists often relate Jaipur to the desert being the capital of Rajasthan and lose their heart when exploring the desert around it. Kishan bagh has come to its rescue offering the first-ever desert park in Jaipur. Jaipur will no longer be specified to traditional monuments and palaces, Kishan Bagh will bring out the change displaying its desert flora.
Kishan Bagh, a visionary project by the city development authority, formed in August 2016 will soon be open for visitors. It is waiting for the completion of works by the JDA and the forest department.
According to the reports, the Jaipur Development Commissioner announced that the associations are asked to convey an ‘Expression of Interest’ for working concerned with the park’s functioning and protection. This beguiling park is said to be open for the public once the COVID conditions are relieved completely.
Park will offer the beauty of nature amidst the desert
Nestled 15 km away from Jaipur in the Vidhyanagar region, this serene park is a calm and quiet resort offering tranquillity to escape from the crowd of the city. This park aims to encourage ecotourism offering desert’s rich flora and amazing treks in the encircling spaces. One can lose themselves in the lap of mother nature away from the hustle-bustle.
Seeds from different regions of the state will be planted here
It has been made sure while its renovation that the ecology and topography of the area remain intact. Being opened at the verges of the city, this park is said to showcase the reflection of Thar desert in many of its regions.
People will be able to witness a total of 18 native varieties planted here. The park will exhibit plants which have been sourced from different areas of the state including Barmer, Sirohi, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Chittorgarh and Banswara. In addition to this, the sand spread over the 320 acres of land of the park has been sourced from Jaisalmer.
