Following the lines of Mohalla Clinic in Delhi, Rajasthan has also started the process of opening Janta Clinics in Jaipur. More than 20 places are marked for opening Janta Clinic in 4 constituencies in Jaipur.
CM Ashok Gehlot had recently announced the opening of the Janta Clinic in the budget. Preparations to implement this announcement have already been started by the Medical and Health department. The list of the marked places to open the Janta clinic is also being handed over to the officials.
Janta Clinic will be opened at more than 20 places, mainly near the lower class areas and slum areas. These will provide better medical and health facilities to the general public from the first aid to the distribution of medicines and some necessary investigations. A doctor, paramedical staff, nursing staff, associate and pharmacist will also be appointed in these public clinics.
It will be started as a pilot project in Jaipur in the state. Later Janta clinics will be opened in Jodhpur and Ajmer. Soon they will also be started in other places in the state.
These are the places where Janta clinics are planned to open
1. Vidyadhar Nagar Constituency: Charan Nadi, Joravar Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Raigar Basti, Govind Colony, Nandpuri Colony, Kumawat Colony.
2. Jhotwada Constituency: Bunkar Colony, Rana Basti, Lankapuri Shastri Nagar, Sunder Nagar, Harijan Basti, New Jalupura, Bhomia Basti and Shastri Nagar.
3. Civil lines constituency: Rai colony, New colony, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Majdur Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, and Hatwada.
4. Sanganer Constituency: Kateva Nagar, Sunita Colony, Rampura Road.
