Sufi Musical night Jahan-E-Khusrau in Jaipur today

World Sufi festival Jahan-e-Khusrau is back in Jaipur, the musical night will be held today and tomorrow at Albert Hall museum.

Good news for all the Sufi music fans! Jahan-e-Khusrau musical festival has returned to Jaipur after a gap of a decade. It will be a two-day musical event at Albert Hall Museum commencing on 19th and 20th November. 

The Sufi festival is being organized by the Department of Tourism, Rajasthan in association with the Rumi foundation. Many famed artists will perform at the festival including Javed Ali, Nooran Sisters, Jasleen Kaur and Niyazi. Entry is free for the public. 

Jaipur to host Jahan-E-Khusrau carnival

Jahan-e-Khusrau, a celebration of Sufi music and traditional storytelling will take the city folks on a musical journey. The divine Sufi music event is a 2-day festival featuring storytelling and poetry through an eclectic line-up of Sufi performances.

The enchanting 2-day carnival will present Moomal – Rooh-e-Registaan, a ballet composed and directed by Muzaffar Ali – a pioneer in composing and presenting sufi music, in a new light. In this, Avenav Mukherjee will be seen as Rana with Dastango Askari Naqvi and a group of Kathak dancers. 

On the first day, people will get a glimpse of Nara-e-Mastana, a Sufi composition by Javed Ali. The audience can participate in another dance ballet driven by Ali, Huma – the celestial bird, with Neha Singh Mishra. A group of Kathak dancers will unfurl the celebrations on the second day, November 20.

The festival will come to an end with a Sada-e-Sufi performance by famous Sufi artists Nooran Sisters.
