Section 144 in Jaipur over the communal clash, the mobile network suspended

The violence gripped the city late at night on Monday. Stone pelting occurred in two sides over communal Violence on Eid in Jaipur. The mishap happened on Delhi Road on Monday and then again in Gangapol on Tuesday.

Late night, Section 144 was imposed in the entire boundary wall and surrounding 15 police station areas. The situation was controlled at 12 o’clock at night. The stone-pelting injured more than a dozen people and many vehicles were damaged. The police did a lathi charge, but when the situation got out of control, they fired more than a hundred shells of tear gas.

The controversy started over an argument between two groups of people standing outside the temple at Rawalji’s market in Gangapole. The argument took the form of a nuisance and a crowd of people created a riot situation within a few minutes.

The entire market got stuck with stones on seeing the massive stone pelting from both sides. Women and children also got trapped in a violent environment. They had to take shelter in a house near the temple, while in the Gangapol area.

Rawalji’s police force arrived at the market as soon as the information reached them and controlled the situation. The police force, then escorted the women and children trapped near the temple to the destination under their guard.

According to the police, some of the suspects were detained till late night, including youths in Gangapol and Nalbandha areas. The other accused involved in the late-night stone-pelting incident are also being identified.
