School closed till 8th class in Jaipur, new guidelines announced

The Home Department has released guidelines regarding new restrictions. 100 for weddings, 20 for funerals; school to be closed till 9 January from classes 1 to 8.

Amid rising Covid cases, the state government has made curbs more strict. From Monday, all the private and government schools from classes 1 to 8 will remain closed till 9 January. The new guideline will be applicable from January 7. 

  • From social, political to every kind of function, now only 100 people can attend. 

At weddings or any other social gatherings no more than 100 will be allowed. Bands will be kept out of the 100 limit. For funerals, a limit of 20 people has been fixed. If people are found crossing the limit, a fine of 10 thousand rupees will be imposed.

  • Before the ceremony, the permission of the SDM is necessary

The approval of the SDM will be necessary to perform the marriage ceremony. The SDM will have to be given online information by visiting the portal of DOIT. Permission will be issued on the same. Conducting a marriage ceremony without prior permission will result in fines and legal action.

  • Ban on carrying offerings, worship material to religious places 

Ban has been inflicted on carrying offerings or worship material to religious centres. Only people who have received both doses of vaccine at religious places will be able to enter. In addition to this, visitors will have to wear masks and follow social distancing.

  • RT-PCR test of travellers from abroad mandatory at airport 

Every passenger arriving from abroad will have an RT-PCR test at the airport. They will have to stay quarantined till the RT-PCR report comes negative. Passengers coming from outside will have both the option of home and institutional quarantine.

  • A double dose of vaccine must

Travellers from trains and airways have to show proof of coming from other states and double doses of vaccine. If both doses of the vaccine are not administered, then such air and train passengers will have to remain quarantined till the RT-PCR test report comes negative.

  • Night curfew and strictness on masks

Night curfew and strictness on wearing masks will start. In the cities, action will be taken like confiscation of vehicles or fine of those who go out unnecessarily during night curfew by putting up police blockades. Penalties will be inflicted on those who are noticed without masks in public places.

  • No entry without vaccination no entry from 1st February

From 1st February, entry will not be available anywhere without applying both doses of the vaccine. The guidelines also mention a condition where vaccination is compulsory. To go to any public place people will have to show proof of having both doses of vaccine. Public places can be anywhere including government offices, markets, public transport. The Home Department is preparing to issue a separate notification for this.
