Rajasthan lockdown, Pinkcity deserted, everything closed till 31 March

The war against the coronavirus has started. The state government declared the lockdown till 31 March to fight with the global epidemic, COVID-19 together. CM Ashok Gehlot appealed to every citizen of the state to be involved in the fight to save humanity.

The lockdown has been carried out in view of the rescue from Corona. For the next 10 days, the state is all closed. All state and private offices, malls, shops, factories, Buses, trains, cabs, and public transport are closed under lock-down. Many shops and markets including the markets of Parkote, Chaura Rasta, Bapu Bazaar, Nehru Bazaar, Chandpole Bazar, Kishanpole Bazar, Hawamahal Bazaar Road, Rajapark, Adarsh ​​Nagar, Jhotwara, Vaishali Nagar, and many other major areas will remain closed. The temples of the state have already been closed for the people. 

The government is also on alert mode and the Collector, Police, and Transport Department have instructed everyone not to go outside the house in any case, otherwise, strict action will be taken. 

According to Commissioner Anand Srivastava, the services will be closed except the essential services  like food, medical and dairy services. Apart from these, if any other service is started, then the police will stop it. Police will also be patrolling in the city constantly. Three thousand soldiers have been deployed for this.

CM Ashok Gehlot has shown his concern for the people. He said that the whole world is worried about the arrival of Corona. The government is taking every major decision to save people’s lives. I appeal to everyone to stay home for safety. The best way to protect ourselves is to live in our homes. There is a complete lockout in Rajasthan, excluding essential services for the safety of the people. We will beat this epidemic together.

In addition to this, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal had a strong impact on the people. Janta curfew got the overwhelming support of the people of Jaipur. The always busy streets of Jaipur looked silent. No traffic was visible on the streets nor people. People did not come out of their homes and followed the Janta curfew. Except for a few vehicles, the roads were deserted. Also, at five in the evening, the whole Jaipur buzzed with applause. The people stood outside the houses with bells and plates and as soon as the clock struck five, the city echoed with the sounds of bells, plates, conch shell and clapping sounds. The fear of the Corona virus infection disappeared amidst the enthusiasm of the people.

PM Modi announced the Janata curfew on Sunday in a view to cope with the menace of coronavirus. The curfew was in force from 7 am till 9 pm.
